Hello Blogger World...The Huffman's have arrived!!
Truthfully a few months ago I thought I would NEVER blog a day in my life. Reason number one: who in the HECK has time to sit at a computer and type when they have two boys...Reason number two: I thought who in the world wants to hear about us. Boring ole' us. Reason number three: I thought it was a bit obnoxious and dorky...hey, don't be judgin'....you know you've thought it at one time or another! THEN....this past week I've been exercising everyday, feel free to applaud me b/c it truly is amazing that that has happened, and I started thinking I gotta start writing down all these things that have happened to us these past few weeks and yes, the light bulb went off so bright and the inner voice said "you must blog Jessica!"
So, reason number one I'm entering this strange foreign world: I oddly have time on my hands these days with my oldest, Taylor, entering Kindergarten and my youngest, Madison, toddling like a champ. Reason number two: there might be a few people interested in us boring ole' Huffmans (maybe the G-parents and some relatives; I don't know just maybe ;)). And reason number three, well, who am I kidding I've always been a little dorky :o)
For those of you who might not know, we have moved to Moultrie, GA and have been here for a month now. In four weeks, we have moved and unpacked the entire house. Celebrated Madison's 1st Birthday with friends and family here, Taylor has been attacked by killer bees, to which our dog, Baxter saved him by jumping in the swarm and was resuscitated and brought back to life by the vet. I have broken my little toe by way of Madison's temper tantrum, Taylor has started Kindergarten, Taylor has fallen flat on his face on our hardwood floors and busted his ENTIRE face (nose, lip and chin) the second day of Kindergarten. James has studied for and taken his Step 3 boards and passed with flying colors. He now is studying for his Internal Medicine Boards and will take them tomorrow. Whew....ALL of this in 4 weeks!! We never do anything the easy way it seems.
As for me, I am currently recovering from my broken little toe and taking one day at a time. Everyday here in this new little city I am enjoying meeting new people and getting involved in the community. I can't tell you how blessed James and I feel. We knew God had called us here a year and a half ago and everyday God affirms to us that calling. Everyone thought we were crazy leaving Savannah and ALL of our family....trust me for a while we thought we had gone crazy, but there is no greater reward than handing your life and putting all faith and trust in our Father's hands completely. On that note and the fact that Madison is about to kill himself running into walls (he's getting a little cocky with the whole I can run now thing), the Huffman's have entered the blogging world and hope that all of you enjoy reading about us!
Love,
Jessica Huffman and Fam
